PV.01the short version01 / 04

aihd is run by Louis Wright, a sole trader based in Petersfield, Hampshire. I hold as little data as possible, I never sell it, and every kind of contact I make or keep has one plain way to make it stop: reply STOP, or email [email protected]. That is honoured permanently.

If you visit this site

The site runs no advertising and no tracking scripts of mine. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard server logs (IP addresses, requests) to serve and secure the site, as any host does.

If you join the newsletter

Your email address goes to my newsletter provider and is used to send you the newsletter, nothing else. Every issue has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you.

If you email me or become a client

I keep the correspondence and, for clients, the notes and documents the work needs, for as long as the work (and reasonable record-keeping, like invoicing) requires. Anything built during an engagement belongs to you.

If I wrote to your business first

I occasionally write to local businesses about my setup service. When I do: your details came from public sources, your own website, your public listings, or Companies House; I write to businesses, not to consumers; the legal basis is legitimate interests (offering a relevant local service, at tiny volume, individually written, with an assessment on file); and every message says where I got your address and how to opt out. One reply saying STOP puts you on a permanent do-not-contact list that I check before anything is sent.

Under UK GDPR you can ask me what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email [email protected] and I will acknowledge within 30 days, and usually deal with it much faster, because the "team" processing your request is me.

If you are not happy with how I handle your data, tell me first and I will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
